Heat Balance Equation:

Applying an energy balance to a closed control volume the convection heat transfer rate can be determined as a function of the mass flow rate of the air moving through the system.

q=m CpΔ T

Using “standard air” as a coolant (sea level altitude, 70 Degrees F)
given the heat dissipation and system temperature rise,
solve for flow rate:

m= CFM ft3/min ·r
r = 0.075 lbs/ft3
Cp = 0.24 Btu/lb-F
1 KW = 3412 BTU/hr
